Martial Arts: Fencing

UPDATED: The Canton of Angels Keep's fight practice is Indoors Tuesday nights. Our fencers meet at Auburn High, 250 Lake Street, Auburn NY 13021. Practice will run from 6pm to 9pm each Tuesday. Be advised that practice will occur only when school is in session, and will be cancelled if school is closed for inclement weather. We have been given practice space in the upper lounge just outside of the gymnasium. For additional information, visitors to Delftwood or Angels Keep may contact our fencing marshal, Lord Benedict Fergus atte Mede (Ben Martin) at 315-247-0288 Please call 315-258-9049 for inclement weather information before leaving home. This number is a voice mail message for Angels Keep and will be updated before each practice.

How to find us:How to find us: From Syracuse / East: Take Route 5 in to Auburn, turn left at the John Street jughandle, cross Genessee St. at the light and go straight on to Owasco St. At the first traffic light, turn right on to Lake Avenue (Route 38) Go 1.1 miles (passing 2 traffic lights). Stay in the left lane when the road divides.** Watch for the Auburn High School sign and turn left into the first entrance. Bear right around the oval and park in front of the building. Use the main entrance at the front of the school.

From Weedsport Thruway Exit #40: Turn right off the exit ramp and follow the signs for Route 34 South. Go south for approximately 7 miles in to Auburn, where rte 34 becomes South Street. Make a left turn on to Metcalf Avenue, then turn right on to Lake Street to the school. Follow from ** above.

Arts & Sciences

Arts & Science (A&S) meetings are on the 1st, 3rd, and (if there is one) the 5th Wednesday of the month at 7pm. We meet at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 607 North Seward Avenue, Auburn NY 13021, in the downstairs meeting room. Topics will vary, and since we are a small group people will very often bring whatever they are currently working on and it becomes a stitch n' scribe n' song n' bull night. If you're interested in a specific topic be sure to mention it, and even if someone in the group isn't familiar with it, you can be sure they will be able to find someone who is.



How to find us: From Syracuse, take Rte 5 into Auburn. Make a left onto North Seward Ave (by the Taco Bell). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill.

From points west: Take your best way to Rte 20 East (Arterial/Grant Ave). Make a right onto North Seward (at the Fast Trac gas station). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill and past the Women's Health Specialists.

From the south, Catch either Rte 34 or Rte 38 and turn right onto Rtes 5 & 20 East (Grant Ave/Arterial). Make a right onto North Seward (at the Fast Trac gas station). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill and past the Women's Health Specialists.

From the North, come in on either Rte 34 or Rte 38 and turn left onto Rtes 5 & 20 East (Grant Ave/Arterial). Make a right onto North Seward (at the Fast Trac gas station). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill and past the Women's Health Specialists.

Business Meetings

There are not at this time any official business meetings. Generally any Canton business will be taken care of either at the Barony of Delftwood meetings or taken care of on A&S nights. Official matters will also be discussed on Canton newsgroup.
