The Cedar Rapids Pagan Community is a group for members of all Pagan
religions as well as those who are friendly towards Pagans. The
group serves the greater Cedar Rapids metro area in Eastern Iowa by
providing a chance for Pagans to meet one another, as well as a chance
for good conversation. In the future, we hope to also be able to provide
community service.
We are having coffee socials weekly. They are held on Tuesdays
at 6:30 at Brewed Awakenings on First Avenue. We tend to meet in the back
room. However, feel free to ask at the counter where the Pagan group is
if you have difficulty finding us. As this is a coffee social, please buy
something from the business which is kind enough to let us meet.
However, we also have other events which are truly cost free.
News from the meetings
We made plans for Samhain 2007. The
event will be held on Saturday October 27th at Squaw Creek Park in Linn
County. We will do a food drive for a local food bank, rituals,
workshops, and information on Pagan groups and events in the area.
The Wishing Realm and the Iowa Pagan Access Network are donating
money for the Samhain event. This should be enough to get started. We
expect to also be receiving donations from Gypsy Magic in Iowa City and
Whispering Winds in Cedar Rapids again this year, but have yet to confirm
this. Thank you so much everyone!
Our Discussion Board
is now online and being tested. Come discuss things with us
online.
In the past 20 months, 170+ different people have attended CRPC
events. One came from Illinois to attend! We had at least 63 people at
Samhain Gathering alone.
